Lightouch Solutions are proud to be members of UKUAT, the UK Urban AgriTech collective that brings together the UK’s key players in modern agricultural technologies.

Mission

Their mission is to ‘mobilise & benefit the UK Urban AgriTech Community’, and their vision is to ‘utilise Urban Agritech as a tool to achieve greater sustainability & resilience in the UK food system. Expanding the horizons of Urban Agritech to better inform communities across the UK’

UKUATs key activity areas are Policy and Advocacy, Education and Outreach, Research and Development, Publicity and Promotion, Shared Resources and Knowledge and Funding.

Through their work, they will encourage the creation of policy frameworks that meet the needs of the urban agritech industry. They provide an education platform to inform and inspire the next generation of farmers, agriculturists and consumers.

UKUAT is building a repository of knowledge through sharing of research and collaboration. They also encourage the sharing of knowledge and resources between members.

They act as a platform to help companies increase their reach and improve the image of the industry, as well as advising on future funding opportunities.

Our membership gives us useful insights into the world of urban agritech. We have the opportunity to work with others in the industry to raise its profile and to be a core component of the nations food system.
